"Robin - Prince of Sherwood " - Thursday 26th ,
Friday 27th & Saturday 28th February 2009
A fabulous rock musical - the familiar story of Robin Hood set to music by Peter Howarth (The Hollies) & Rick Fenn (10CC).
Robin sets off in 1191 to join the Crusades, leaving behind his lovely Maid Marion.
He returns to Nottingham to join the band of Merry Men to fight against the evil Sheriff and his side-kick the witch Morgana. Robin and his Men attack the Sheriff’s soldiers and relieve them of years of taxes and then distribute the money to the poor.
The Sheriff wants his revenge, imprisons Marion and announces that he is to marry her. To out wit him, Robin and his men try to break into Marion's prison to perform the marriage ceremony first but the Sheriff is waiting and they are captured. Robin and Friar Tuck are about to hang when suddenly a hooded stranger demands that the prisoners be released – it is none other than King Richard. The King knights Robin and, finally reunited, Robin and Marion are married with great ceremony.

About Us
The SOSage Factory is the youth section of Solihull Operatic Society and was formed in 1993 following their production of "Oliver". The group performs a major musical each year in the Solihull Arts complex complete with costumes, scenery and orchestra. A concert or smaller show is held in the summer.
The aim of the group is to foster the love of performing arts in young people. SOSage Factory meets on Saturday afternoons at Knowle United Reformed Church Hall from 2.30 – 4.30 pm and is open to those aged between 9 and 18.
There are 10 dedicated leaders with expertise in all aspects of theatre and stage craft. In return they expect commitment, concentration and respect. We all have a great deal of fun!
